yeah i contacted them there paying the old pass the buck game. yeah its not letting me log in , ill email them again, funny enough the site is still working fine on IE but firefox, chrome are both 'Error establishing a database connection'

Was the site working fine an hour ago?

yes 25 mins agoit was fine no problems all day, until i went to save a post in draft it changed

now getting same message on IE

Then it's definitely a server issue. Either their database server is down or something has corrupted your wp-config.php file:-(

ive sent them another message but the message has now change to-

"Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@thepeoplesmovies.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

Oh - that sounds like your new hosts are having real problems. :-(

yep! haha well its tucows who own them

During installation and db set up I got this error ... please help if you have any idea :)

2 Reasons:

1. You might have entered wrong info.
OR
2. The DB server will be down!

Have you contacted your hosts and double checked your database details with them?

Rename your .htaccess file and again made a blank .htaccess file and advice that problem is solved or not...

I am getting the following error and I have no idea what it means or how to fix it:

WordPress database error: [Duplicate key name 'sldup_reports']
alter table wp_posts ADD FULLTEXT sldup_reports (post_content)

I can still update pages and use Wordpress but when I update a page it becomes blank after refreshed.

Have you tried disabling all plugins?

I haven't...

I'm afraid if I do then I'll lose the progress I've made in them (such as SEO keywords and metadata). Will my work disappear if I disable the plugins?

Also, should I disable and then re-enable them right away?

All of a sudden my site is getting the database error. I did not touch any settings or anything. Just refreshed the page and I am getting this error on all the browsers. Please help!

When I test the installer I'm getting the following error. Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

I have contacted my hosting company and they have confirmed I have created the database correctly and that the port is correct. I'm not at all technical and really don't know what to do.

If I change localhost to remotehost I get the following error. Unknown MySQL server host 'remotehost'

Any help will be greatly apreciated.

After the update to the latest version of WP I was asked to update the database. After that nothing happens and I am not able to connect to wp-admin. Again to the same screen as before.

"Database Update Required

WordPress has been updated! Before we send you on your way, we have to update your database to the newest version.

The update process may take a little while, so please be patient."

ame for me. Had to use PHPmyadmin to manually edit the wp_options table to make the current database version 22442. Immediate access again.

So I assume someone will create a fix and another update soon???
